วัดเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของชุมชนในด้าน ศาสนา และวัฒนธรรม

จึงมีแนวคิดที่ทำการขุดดินส่วนด้านใต้ฐานองค์เจดีย์ให้ลึกลงไปเพิ่มเติมเพื่อที่จะนำพื้นที่บริเวณชั้นล่างของเขตพุทธวาสมาใช้สอยในรูปแบบหอประชุมอเนกประสงค์ ที่จะรองรับศาสนิกชน ได้ราว ๗๕๐ คน

ถือเป็นพื้นที่ใหญ่สำหรับการจัดศาสนพิธี งานเทศกาลต่างๆ ของชุมชนไทย พร้อมรับรองในด้านการศึกษา เรียนรู้ และปฏิบัติธรรม ตลอดจนกิจกรรมอันเกี่ยวเนื่องกับวัฒนธรรมไทย

As the monastery is the centre of both religious and community life, there was a thought to excavate more earth to create a large basement space for a community hall.

The entire area of the the cloister is transposed below and has a capacity of approximately 750 people. This multi-purpose community hall will serve as the main workhouse for community gatherings, Dhamma Talks, Thai cultural events, exhibitions, as well Thai cultural events, exhibitions, as well as Buddhist education and Thai language/cultural classes.
